Design Limit Sweden AB
Design Limit provides consulting services within design evaluation and optimisation of structures. The company is owned and operated by myself, Linus Fagerberg. I've been performing work for Swedish companies such as Swedish Defence Material Administration, Swedish Space Corporation, SAAB Avitronics, SAAB Aerostructures, Echandia Marine, Storuman Kraft AB, Atlas Copco and FlexProp among others.
Design Limit started based on a long-standing interest in structural behaviour, material response and the use of computational methods to analyse and improve engineering systems. The primary focus has always been performance through simulation and analysis.
Today, the work previously carried out through Design Limit is offered as part of Lightness by Design. Lightness by Design operates as a larger consultancy specialising in structural analysis, advanced CAE, computational methods and technical advisory services. Projects typically involve complex geometries, demanding load cases and stringent requirements for results and performance.

HMS Visby
The Visby class corvette is the first vessel in the world to have fully developed stealth technology, combined with high operational versatility. The outstanding stealth properties fundamentally change the ship's survivability and improve its mission effectiveness.
Linus Fagerberg has performed research and aquired his Ph.D. within the field of the compression strenght of sandwich panels similar to those used in the Visby class corvette.

HMS Gotland
The Gotland was the world's first submarine class in operation with an air independent propulsion (AIP) system. The Stirling AIP system, combined with a number of unique features including overall low signatures, extreme shock resistance and a powerful combat system, provides the ultimate in non-nuclear submarine technology.
Linus Fagerberg has been performing design evaluation and stress analysis on composite structures for submarines.
